An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and well organised diagnostic vehicle technician to join our dealership. As a local West Midlands family owned group we continue to grow and we are looking for experienced vehicle technicians to help us achieve outstanding customer satisfaction. Ideally you will have franchise experience. You will possess a relevant formal qualification for this role. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to progress their career within a franchised environment and has the desire and ability to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction results and to work to and achieve targets and objectives.

Role & responsibilities:

  • To diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles in accordance with Arbury standards, promoting and attaining Arbury standards for superior workmanship at all times to meet individual and departmental activity targets.
  • To advise line managers on additional repairs identified in order to obtain permission from the sales department before proceeding.
  • To keep updated on technical information through factory bulletins and online training.
  • To operate competently and efficiently within agreed timescales communicating with service and parts departments to obtain required parts without delay.
  • To road test vehicles where appropriate.
  • To maintain a high level of technical knowledge and ensure you are compliant with manufacturer training requirements.
  • To uphold company and manufacturer quality standards and ensure all work undertaken meets customer expectations in relation to repairs carried out and to ensure repeat repairs are minimised.
  • To ensure 100% compliance with the vehicle health check process and that repair order write ups are clear and concise specifying fault cause & rectification.
  • To maintain your work area, tools and equipment to a high standard and ensure you understand and comply with all health and safety regulations and that customer vehicles are appropriately protected while in our care.

The successful applicant must have the following:

  • Previous experience of working on a wide variety of vehicles
  • Qualified to tech level 3 or above
  • Full UK driving license.
