Arbour Hospital is seeking a Unit Manager to join our skilled and dedicated team of psychiatric professionals providing service excellence to our patients in a range of inpatient and partial programs and services. This is a Monday - Friday, 40 hour per week, overnight salaried position.

Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We are an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical record documentation.
- Provides direct supervision to nurses and subordinate staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health.
- Serves as key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues.
- Studies patient needs/trends and suggests solutions to ongoing patient care problems.
- Collaborates with CNO/supervisors on development and implementation of nursing department’s mission, goals, policies, procedures, budget quality assurance plan, and work standards.
- Compiles/analyzes data on patient outcomes, quality assurance results, budget/goal achievement, and performance/productivity and prepares reports for administration.
- Participates in team planning related to clinic and emergency/disaster response system.
- Analyzes staffing patterns with CNO/HR Director. Maintains required NCHs for unit.
- Collaborates with human resources department on recruiting, selecting & orienting/training.
- Conducts performance review meetings, regularly provides feedback and coaching and is responsible for the overall development and succession planning of the staff.
- Active committee participant for unit base & hospital.
- Perform other duties as assigned/required.
- Act as house coverage/rotation when required.
- Collaborates with other disciplines to affect positive patient outcomes.
