We are a vibrant and values-led organisation that champions the power of resilience, trauma-informed healing, and human connection. We exist to support young people with complex needs, helping them rewrite their stories, rediscover their identity, and realise their potential. Guided by our RESET Care Model, we are relentless in our pursuit of change and positive outcomes for every young person in our care.

We are now seeking an exceptional Registered House Manager to lead two of our solo occupancy residential children’s homes, shaping futures and embedding our vision, values, and therapeutic approach into everyday practice.

Your Role

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, child-centred care aligned with Ofsted or CIW standards.
  • Embed the RESET Care Model in all aspects of the home, ensuring therapeutic, trauma-informed practice drives every decision.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and champion safeguarding, quality, and best practice.
  • Drive the personal development and well-being of children and young people, supporting life skills, education, and independence.
  • Manage the operational, financial, and regulatory responsibilities of the home with professionalism and accountability.
  • Lead “on the floor”, role-modelling best practice and fostering a culture of resilience, growth, and excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership role – you will be visible, proactive, and deeply involved in the daily life of your services. At Arbour Healthcare, our leaders are present, purposeful, and passionate about giving children and young people the future they deserve.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, with 1 year in a senior or deputy role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or commitment to achieve).
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to lead in crisis situations.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with a commitment to staff development.
  • Passion for trauma-informed care and improving life outcomes for children.

Why Join Arbour?

  • A culture grounded in dignity, honesty, courage and accountability – where your voice matters.
  • A therapeutic care model and bespoke training designed around your development.
  • Company-wide leadership programmes and fast-track progression opportunities.
  • Enhanced annual leave allowance and pension scheme.
  • Meals and all essentials are provided when on shift.
  • A real sense of community – we call ourselves the Arbour Army for a reason.
