About the Client

We are looking for a caring, reliable and experienced live-in carer to support Kurt, a man in his mid-30s with cerebral palsy. Kurt works full-time as a solicitor and leads an active, independent lifestyle. He communicates clearly, makes his own decisions and directs his carers regarding the support he needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with morning personal care, washing, dressing and preparing the client for the day.
  • Support transfers using a Mini Oxford hoist, including hoisting into his electric wheelchair and into bed.
  • Assist with toileting and lunch when required, particularly on office days.
  • Provide evening personal care and support with undressing and bedtime routines.
  • Respect the client's independence, preferences and social life.

Working Conditions

The morning routine, starting around 6:00–6:30 am, and the evening routine are the busiest periods. During the day, the client often works from home or at his office, so there are significant periods of downtime. The carer has a two-hour daily break, with additional flexibility when the client is working, socialising or spending time with family. Overnight assistance is not normally required.

  • 4 November – 25 November 2026: First 3-week working period.
  • 26 November – 8 December 2026: 2 weeks off.
  • 9 December 2026 – 17 February 2027: Extended working period, including Christmas and New Year.
  • After this initial period, the regular 3-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotation will continue.
