You’ll help deliver outstanding care, lead staff, ensure regulatory compliance.

You will be required to have extensive knowledge of the following legislation: <b>Children’s Act, Children’s homes Regulations, Ofsted Regulations (REG 40, 44 & 45).</b></p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Lead a team of staff, ensuring they are supported and trained to an excellent standard to provide high-quality care and support to the children and young people living in the residential children's home.</li> <li>Engaging with children, setting examples and building excellent rapport to enable independence</li> <li>Supporting with recruitment, ensuring safer recruitment processes are followed to a high standard</li> <li>Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare for OFSTED inspections</li> <li>Develop care plans and oversee safeguarding procedures</li> <li>Build strong relationships with external professionals and families</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children ensuring best practice</li> </ul> <h2>Person Specification</h2> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Management Role within a Children’s residential care setting, with a proven track record of achieving and sustaining Outstanding or Good Ofsted ratings within children’s home previously (D)</li> <li>Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards (E)</li> <li>Previous OFSTED registration and strong understanding of care regulations, including MH & DOLS experience (E)</li> <li>Knowledge of therapeutic care, safeguarding, and behaviour de‑escalation (E)</li> <li>Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills (E)</li> <li>Full UK Driving licence and ability to work on‑call (E)</li> <li>Competitive salary depending on experience, including monthly bonus & Ofsted achievement bonus</li> <li>Enhanced holiday scheme, increasing with service</li> <li>Birthday Day Off</li> <li>Life Assurance X3</li> <li>Free Blue Light Card</li> <li>Career progression with our “Roots to Growth” scheme</li> <li>Access to Level 7 and therapeutic training</li> <li>Casual dress and on‑site parking</li> <li>Supportive leadership team</li> </ul> <h2>Work Location</h2> <p>The location/work‑base for this role may require you to work from multiple locations.
