We are looking for a reliable and motivated Shunter Driver to join our team at our New Holland site. This is a day-shift-only position offering stable hours and the opportunity to work within a well-established and growing business. If you have experience as a shunter driver, please get in touch.
Main Duties:
- Coordinate the movement of trailers on-site to ensure timely loading
- Manage trailer park areas efficiently
- Assist visiting drivers in adhering to site rules
- Carry out vehicle checks to prevent defective trailers from being loaded
- Monitor trailer availability and report shortages to the Loading Supervisor
- Secure or assist in securing loads for timely departures
- Close trailer curtains on loaded trailers at shift end and during adverse weather conditions
- Complete occasional customer deliveries as required
- Run vehicles to vendors for servicing
- Support general yard activities including de-skidding
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the yard
