I am looking for a confident, enthusiastic, approachable and motivated person to join our Sawmill Team at Arbor Forest. We are based in New Holland with no public transport. This Supervisory position is on a permanent basis - direct with our company.

Some benefits as a supervisor:

  • Salary: £22.00 per hour (£44,616.00 per annum)
  • Working hours: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm rotating weekly shift pattern plus overtimes
  • This is a full-time permanent opportunity from day one.

Some of the supervisor duties:

  • Lead a team of production operators and machinists within the Sawmill
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are strictly followed
  • Production targets of quantity, quality and cost are achieved and waste is minimised
  • Train and develop their team
  • Drive improvements relating to productivity and service and to champion lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Reporting and accounting for performance and improvement and recovery actions.

The above list of duties is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake any other duties as and when required by Management.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Supervisory experience in an industrial production environment, preferably within a wood or similar industry
  • PC skills – ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • IOSH / NEBOSH desirable
  • NVQ level 2 Team Leading or equivalent
  • Effective communicator
