About us
At Arbor, we're on a mission to transform the way schools work for the better. We believe in a future of work in schools where being challenged doesn't mean being burnt out and overworked. Where data guides progress without overwhelming staff. And where everyone working in a school is reminded why they got into education every day.
Our MIS and school management tools are already making a difference in over 12,000 schools and trusts. Giving time and power back to staff, turning data into clear, actionable insights, and supporting happier working days.
At the heart of our brand is a recognition that the challenges schools face today aren't just about efficiency, outputs and productivity - but about creating happier working lives for the people who drive education every day: the staff. We want to make schools more joyful places to work, as well as learn.
About the role
We are looking for a hard-working and diligent Senior Sales Administrator to join our Sales team on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract and help us provide expert administrative and commercial support to the Volume and Customer Sales teams. The remit and focus of the role is to make autonomous, sensible commercial decisions regarding customer quotes and contracts on behalf of a sales team and ensure sound prioritisation of workload, tasks and conflicting priorities while working across a number of sales teams. It's a broad and exciting role, so we're looking for someone up for a challenge - if you're collaborative and an effective communicator, this is the role for you.
Core responsibilities
- Autonomous Quote & Contract Management Commercial Decisioning: Review and approve quote amendments autonomously, ensuring pro-rata billing and contract alignment are handled correctly to prevent post-sale escalations or credit notes.
- Quota & Commission Oversight: Verify that deal structures accurately reflect sales activities to ensure correct quota credit and commission calculations for field representatives.
- Complex Multi-Product Support: Lead the administrative build for larger bids and complex contracts.
- Systems Mastery & Process Improvement: Manage the cleanest possible sales data within Salesforce, auditing records and unblocking "locked" opportunity lines where appropriate.
- Process Evolution: Partner with Revenue Operations and Finance to identify and implement processes and guardrails for pricing and contract builds, driving automation that reduces administrative time for Partnership Managers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Debt Resolution: Act as the primary commercial bridge for the Finance team, proactively resolving complex customer queries that are blocking payment to ensure the swift closure of aged debt.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve invoicing discrepancies, auto-renewal challenges, and credit note requests, making autonomous decisions where appropriate on commercial resolutions that protect both the customer relationship and Arbor's revenue.
- Bids & Renewals Support: Coordinate with Bid Managers on large tender opportunities (e.g., G-Cloud 14) to ensure we can operationally support our response.
Requirements
About you
- Experience: Solid experience in a Senior Sales Administration, Sales Operations, or Commercial Contracts role, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Technical Excellence: Advanced proficiency in Salesforce (CPQ experience is a distinct advantage) and Excel.
- Decision-Making Track Record: Proven ability to handle complex commercial scenarios and debt-related queries with minimal guidance.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complicated contractual or system issues in plain English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
