About the role
We’re excited to find a Framework Manager who has a strong understanding of public sector procurement rules and will bring valuable experience to our Bids Team. This team works on every tender response and framework contract in our rapidly-growing business. In this role, you will step in for our current Framework Manager for a duration of 12 months.
A day in the life of a Framework Manager...
- Work with the Bid Writer and Bid Team Lead to kick-off new bids and apply for new frameworks.
- Answer questions and approve framework contracts from the broader sales team, acting as the expert point of contact for each of the frameworks our products are on.
- Complete the monthly reporting and compliance requirements for each of the frameworks we are on, ensuring a wide variety of procurement routes are available to schools.
- Help the bid team ad-hoc with reviewing applications and bids, gaining experience across a broad range of sales scenarios.
- Work across Salesforce, Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, and procurement portals (we have training available if you are familiar with different systems).
Responsibilities
- Help sales personnel with framework contracts and queries.
- Take calls to help customers fill out framework contracts.
- Manage framework contract issues with our administrative or legal teams.
- Own Arbor’s relationships with framework contacts and consultants.
- Identify new framework routes.
- Ensure compliance on frameworks (know the rules of each one and make sure we comply).
- Manage applications onto new frameworks, supported by the Bid Writer and Bid Team Lead.
- Review and approve framework contracts and amendments.
- Maintain and update framework processes if needed.
- Train any new team members on framework options and compliance.
- Complete monthly reporting for framework compliance.
- Maintain a folder of commonly used appendices and certificates.
- Maintain the bids@arbor-education.com inbox, including managing inbound notifications from tender-finding services and framework awards (joint responsibility with the Bid Writer).
- Manage tender service logins, and log in to express interest and retrieve documentation when new tenders begin (joint responsibility with the Bid Writer).
- General ad-hoc administration, review, or support for bids as needed in accordance with team capacity.
About you
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised.
- Confident running projects and processes independently.
- Enthusiasm for innovation in the schools sector.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience working in a sales or business development team.
- Proven understanding of public sector procurement rules is essential.
- Proven experience applying or maintaining placement on frameworks is highly desirable.
- Experience using online procurement portals or CRM systems is desirable.
