Aave Labs began with a simple question: how do we make financial services like borrowing, saving, and earning more accessible globally? We built the Aave Protocol, now the world's largest and most trusted onchain lending market, connecting decentralized finance with individuals, traditional finance, and fintech. Today, we build trusted, high-quality products that expand access to lending, credit, and savings globally.

We build trusted products that help people access and discover economic opportunities. We hold a high bar for quality and craftsmanship. No detail is too small. Trust depends on it. We're a global team building products people can actually use, turning complex technology into something simple and reliable. We stay aligned, move quickly, and think long term, while keeping teams lean and focused on impact.

We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to build Aave App's Android and web experiences. You'll deliver secure, intuitive consumer savings journeys across platforms while working closely with design, product, backend, iOS, and protocol engineers. This role is focused on hands-on delivery and independent ownership of defined product areas. You'll take features from technical design through release, contribute to the shared application architecture, and ensure the experience remains polished, accessible, performant, and reliable across different devices and browsers.

How you can make an impact:

  • Develop and ship customer-facing features across the Android and web builds of Aave App using React Native, TypeScript, and React.
  • Build responsive, accessible interfaces and reusable components that behave consistently across devices, form factors and web surfaces.
  • Integrate consumer blockchain functionality such as wallet connectivity, transaction preparation and signing interfaces, onchain data reads, gas estimation, and transaction-status updates.
  • Work with backend and protocol engineers to integrate onchain and offchain data, savings and withdrawal flows, funding options, notifications, and analytics.
  • Write well‑tested, maintainable code and contribute useful reviews that improve consistency without slowing delivery.
  • Partner closely with design to deliver precise UI, refined interactions, and a cohesive cross-platform design system.

Let's connect if you have:

  • 4+ years building consumer mobile or cross-platform applications, including strong production experience with React Native and TypeScript.
  • Deep React fundamentals with a strong focus on performance, including render cost and re-render behaviour, with experience using profiling and data-driven approaches to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Reanimated and Gesture Handler, with fluency across the React Native toolchain, including Metro, Hermes, EAS, and native module integration and debugging.
  • A track record of shipping polished consumer experiences with close attention to UX, accessibility, and design detail.
  • Experience with secure storage, authentication, encryption, permissions, and sensitive user data on mobile devices.
  • Strong testing and debugging skills across unit, integration, end-to-end, device, and browser environments.

Haven’t quite met all the criteria? Let's not miss out on the chance to speak. Whilst you might not meet every single requirement, you might bring other, more exciting skills to the companies!
