Overview Arbikie Distillery is a family-owned, field-to-bottle distillery located on the Arbikie Highland Estate on the east coast of Scotland.

We are seeking a Night Shift Distillery Operator to join our production team as we continue to expand our distilling operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in producing high-quality products, and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Experience within the drinks industry, brewing, distilling, food production or another processing environment would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in motivated individuals with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient and safe overnight distillery operations, including: Operating the distillery in line with production schedules and standard operating procedures.

Carrying out mashing, fermentation and distillation processes.

Monitoring equipment, process parameters and spirit quality throughout the shift.

Completing production records and ensuring accurate documentation.

Assisting with cask filling, movement and inventory management.

Cleaning and sanitising production equipment and work areas.

Supporting routine maintenance activities and reporting equipment issues.

Assisting with bottling, labelling and packaging activities as required.

Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Working collaboratively with the wider distillery and farm teams to ensure smooth operations.

About You We're looking for someone who: Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Can work effectively with minimal supervision and make sound decisions when required.

Has excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Is reliable, organised and able to manage tasks independently.

Is comfortable working permanent night shifts.

Is physically capable of undertaking manual handling and other practical aspects of production work.

Has good communication and teamwork skills.

Holds a full UK driving licence due to the rural location of the distillery.

Desirable Experience Experience within distilling, brewing, drinks manufacturing or food production.

Mechanical, engineering or maintenance experience.

Forklift certification (training can be provided).

Experience of working in a regulated production environment.

Please note: Following appointment, the successful candidate will work day shifts for an initial training period before moving to a permanent night shift role upon successful completion of training.
