In this role you will lead and deliver a comprehensive, on-site Occupational Health (OH) service, encompassing (but not limited to) health surveillance and biological monitoring, drug and alcohol screening, fitness-for-work assessments, case management, and health promotion.

This will be conducted in alignment withthe OH Centre of Excellenceclinical governance frameworks.

As of one of our Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will provide expert OHguidance to the local site Leadership Team on all matters relating to the interaction between employee health and work, utilising evidence-based clinical practice, alongside sound legal and commercial judgement.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Collaborate closely with the Barrow Mill Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team, contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health-related programmes and procedures.
  • Operate under the clinical governance and professional supervision of theglobal Occupational Health Centre of Excellence(OH Co E), actively participating in clinical audit, governance processes, training initiatives, and continuous professional development.
  • Liaise effectively withthird-party clinical providers including OHPhysicians to ensure the high-quality delivery and coordination of Mill-based OH services.
  • Towork with the Mill EHSTeam to help identify potential health hazards, participate in the assessment and control of risk, andmanage fitness for task and healthsurveillance programmes in line withlocal and global standards, and OH Co E clinical standard operating procedures.
  • To provide specialist OHadvice, within the scope of the role, on the potential health impacts arising from physical, chemical, biological, and psychosocial hazards.
