We are currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator Tradesperson to join our team. In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, inspection, and maintenance of sheet metal components in line with technical drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication & Welding:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components using hand tools and workshop machinery (press brakes, shears, rollers, etc.).
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminium sheet and extrusions.
- Measure, cut, and shape metal to precise requirements.
- Inspect welds and assemblies to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Undertake trade‑related repairs and modifications as required.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Inspect and diagnose machinery for wear, faults, or safety concerns.
- Repair or replace non‑conforming parts and components.
- Use measuring tools and diagnostic equipment to confirm tolerances.
- Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs and quality control sheets.
About You:
- Trade qualified with proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
- Skilled in MIG and TIG welding, particularly with aluminium.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
