We now have an opportunity for a Senior Housing Officer to join our Tenant Services Team to provide a comprehensive housing management service including optimising the use of properties managed by the association, income collection, anti-social behaviour, tenancy management/sustainment whilst promoting value for money.

You will directly manage the housing staff within the Tenant Services Team, acting as a role model and demonstrating your alignment to the associations mission and values. You'll ensure that appropriate lines of communication are in place to keep staff up to date through staff meetings, training and other means.

Providing housing management services to our tenants, you will manage the voids/lettings and income performance service to maximise income to the association, and you'll triage queries from Housing Officers and support with higher level issues particularly on anti-social behaviour and complex tenancy cases. Acting as the lead person for Safeguarding, you'll support staff to make safeguarding related decisions and advise on appropriate actions including making referrals to social services when appropriate. You will understand the process of raising concerns through policies and procedures, making thorough referrals, attending and contributing to case reviews and monitoring of outcomes.

Additionally, you will represent the association in relation to legal processes relating to tenancy management for arrears, anti-social behaviour, evictions, etc. We are looking for a housing professional with experience of social housing management and knowledge of common housing management policies and procedures. You'll have a successful track record of rent arrears control or similar financial management, working knowledge of welfare benefits.

Experience of staff supervision is essential, and you will enjoy working using your own initiative in a changing environment working to tight deadlines and thriving under pressure. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have a driving licence along with the use of a car for work purposes. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
