True to our roots Arawak Walton has a proud heritage in helping to create vibrant and sustainable multi-cultural neighbourhoods in inner city areas. We believe that everyone has the right to live independently and safely, so it’s no surprise that we recruit passionate people who want to make a difference and take responsibility to get things done.

We are looking for an individual with experience within social care to deliver high-quality housing and support services for tenants within the associations over 55s housing schemes. Acting as the main point of contact for tenants, you will play a vital part in fostering a positive culture, driving continuous improvement and supporting innovation and efficiency to help achieve Arawak Walton’s strategic goals.

You will ensure the provision of high-quality services, effective risk management, and full compliance with health and safety requirements; while overseeing repairs and planned works to ensure they are completed to a high standard.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Support Services - Deliver support services to tenants, carrying out risk assessments and support plans with tenants and complete daily check-ins.
  • Tenant Involvement & Social Activities - Promote communication by involving tenants in decisions about the running of schemes. Facilitate events which promote tenant interaction.
  • Scheme Management - Be responsible for the day-to-day management of facilities and services, liaising with tenants about repairs and contractor access and report repairs.
  • Safeguarding responsibilities - Be alert to and recognise welfare issues and signs of abuse.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience of working with older people.
  • Exceptionally high standard of customer care and service.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Able to promote and maintain a positive “can do” attitude.

Whether you’re wanting to take on more responsibilities or share your experience with colleagues, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that values staff and tenants, is passionate about building communities where people can thrive and will support your career every step of the way.

What we can offer you:

  • A friendly supportive team where you're known as a person- not just an employee. The opportunity to develop your skills, take on early responsibility and grow your career.
  • Up to 31 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and an additional 3 concessionary days over Christmas.
  • A generous pension scheme with a 3% employee contribution and an 11.4% employer contribution.
  • Flexible and family-friendly working policies.
  • Perkbox membership, giving you discounts on shopping, travel, leisure and gym memberships.
  • Health and wellbeing support, including free health checks, an Employee Assistance Programme and a health cashback scheme.
  • Cycle to Work and low-interest car loan schemes.
  • A collaborative workplace where your voice matters and you can make a genuine difference to the communities we serve.

We may close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient interest, so apply today.
