Job Purpose
Manage, create and evolve an effective building services and building safety team, ensuring Watmos continues to meet all legal and regulatory obligations related to property compliance and resident safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team.
- Oversee all statutory compliance activity.
- Drive the implementation of the refreshed safety strategy.
- Manage critical areas such as fire safety, gas and electrical compliance, asbestos, water management, lifting equipment, and wider building safety obligations.
- Champion the golden thread of information to ensure accurate data underpins risk management, reporting, and investment planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, residents, contractors, and regulators to strengthen contract management, support service improvement, and maintain Building Safety Cases, Resident Engagement Plans, and compliance documentation to the highest standard.
- Model company values, manage budgets effectively, and facilitate strategic planning across the organisation.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for someone with strong sector experience, excellent knowledge of building safety legislation, commercial acumen and the ability to influence, engage and lead confidently. A relevant degree, professional qualifications and health and safety training are highly desirable. Travel between sites is required; a driving licence and vehicle access or effective use of public transport is essential.
