To play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of courier import operations. With a focus on compliance, customer service, and shipment tracking, this role supports the efficiency and reliability of our express services based in Poyle (Slough).

As an Operations Team Member within our Express Operations division, your responsibilities will include several key operational tasks that contribute to our service excellence:

  • Manage and ensure compliance with all clearance procedures for courier imports, adhering to regulatory and company standards to facilitate timely shipment processing.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers by responding promptly to inquiries, handling calls professionally, and resolving any servicing issues with care and accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed tracking and tracing of inbound shipments, providing updates, and proactively addressing any delays or discrepancies to guarantee transparency and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate freedom shipments efficiently, ensuring correct documentation and processing to support seamless customs clearance.
  • Address and resolve station problem queues diligently to minimize operational bottlenecks and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Clear any outstanding shipments expediently, working with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and avoid shipment backlog.

The role also requires a collaborative mindset to work across departments, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and upholding Aramex's commitment to operational excellence.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Demonstrated understanding of import clearance processes and regulatory requirements within courier or logistics environments.
  • Proven experience in customer service roles with strong communication skills to handle diverse customer interactions effectively.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with electronic customs systems such as E-customs and CNS to ensure accurate and efficient shipment processing.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word to manage shipment documentation, reporting, and correspondence accurately.
  • A solid grasp of global geographical locations to support international shipment tracking and problem resolution.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic operational setting.
