Purpose of the Job

Responsible for end-to-end control of all shipments coming into and out of the Roadfreight depot in Trafford Park. Supervisory and management responsibilities for team members. This is a highly focused, administrative role where attention to detail is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervisory responsibility for a team of Freight Operations Executives.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for any issues in the department, providing detailed explanations and resolutions.
• Liaise between the local transport provider and job owners to ensure smooth transfer of information regarding local collections and deliveries.
• Accept bookings onto the internal Aramex system directly from customers via the portal.
• Create and issue manifests for daily deliveries assigned to the correct haulier.
• Monitor, chase, and process all PODs, ensuring timely updates in the internal system.
• Log and report daily inbound trailer outturns, providing updates and missing delivery notes to the transport team.
• Accept EDI transfers into the Aramex system for trailers arriving from Germany, book deliveries with consignees, and pass relevant information to the transport team.
• Contact hauliers for quotations on collection/delivery outside of service level agreements.
• Assign shipments to correct clearance manifests for customs clearance.
• Update the Linehaul department on changes in freight volume for effective export trailer planning.
• Book space for evening exports from Trafford Park to Belfast.
• Handle customer service queries via phone and email, ensuring satisfactory and timely resolutions.
• Perform accurate data entry with attention to detail.
• Maintain daily shipment cost reports for the accounts department, ensuring approval for additional charges.
• Ensure Trafford Park operations pass internal compliance reports.

• Perform other duties as assigned, subject to experience and training.
