Overview

We seek a Traffic Safety Engineer to join the Traffic Safety Services Department, responsible for promoting safe driving and enhancing road safety, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Your role involves performing specialized transportation and traffic safety engineering tasks, developing safety initiatives, policies, and action plans for safer environments within company facilities. Responsibilities include roadway design reviews, accident investigations, safety assessments, and developing remedial measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical traffic safety engineering tasks.
• Coordinate with company and government authorities on safety improvements in the Eastern Province.
• Support internal and external entities to improve traffic safety and mobility.
• Assist in developing project scopes, proposals, and schematics related to traffic safety.
• Review and advise on roadway design standards within company facilities.
• Contribute to initiatives based on international best practices and emerging technologies.
• Investigate traffic accidents involving employees and contractors.
• Plan and prioritize technical activities and allocate resources.
• Enhance technical capacity through training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program; advanced degree in Transportation & Traffic Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning, with at least 10 years in Traffic Safety projects.
• Proficiency in road design, transport planning, and traffic safety studies.
• Knowledge of local and international standards and guidelines.
• Professional certifications and licenses are required.
• Ability to conduct site visits and assessments.
• Experience with transportation/traffic analysis and simulation software.
• Project management and resource planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
