Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Student Advisor / Career Advisor to join the Manchester Office of the PDU team. This role focuses on supporting the academic, professional, and personal development of Saudi Aramco-sponsored students in the UK and Europe, in alignment with company goals and development programs.
You will work closely with universities, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure that each student receives comprehensive support and guidance throughout their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
Student Development & Advisory
- Monitor, support, and evaluate the academic, professional, and personal progress of sponsored students from foundation year to graduation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to students to help them align with company career paths and expectations.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of academic programs and curricula to ensure alignment with company requirements.
- Identify and recommend personal and professional development opportunities for students.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new students entering the program.
University & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with higher education institutions across the UK and
- Europe.
- Coordinate and attend regular university visits and meetings with academic staff and university officials.
- Liaise with university admissions teams to coordinate application processes, placements, and continuation programs.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and databases.
- Produce regular reports on student progress, program performance, and development outcomes.
- Keep abreast of changes in higher education policies and academic developments to inform internal strategy.
Skills & Tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with students and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
