We are seeking a Safety Engineer to join the Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention organization (LP). LP is responsible for providing both day-to-day in-field occupational and process safety support to Saudi Aramco operations, as well as a centralized technical support and consulting function.
Your primary role is to provide daily support to company facilities and departments, help them to effectively implement the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System (Occupational & Process Safety) expectations and associated programs, as well as to assure compliance to all company safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate implementation of the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System, including developing associated safety processes, and participating in self-assessments.
- Conduct field inspections/reviews to assess compliance to company and international codes and standards, identify safety concerns, formulate solutions, and develop practical and cost-effective corrective actions.
- Identify, evaluate, recommend actions, and follow up on critical safety tasks and control methodologies related to operational safety practices.
- Participate in safety studies/activities using risk assessment and mitigation methodologies.
- Respond to emergency situations and incidents to provide technical assistance and advice.
- Participate in worksite contractor safety management activities.
- Support the reporting, classification and investigation of all incidents.
- Deliver Loss Prevention-specific training to employees, contractors, and outside parties.
- Mentor other LP personnel.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an Accredited Institution. You will have 7 years of experience as a safety professional in the oil and gas, petrochemicals or related industries, covering both occupational and process safety.
You will have an excellent ability to communicate in English with peers as well as members of management, and be able to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
