We are seeking a Safety Advisor to join the Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention organization (LP). LP is responsible for providing both day-to-day in-field occupational and process safety support to Saudi Aramco operations, as well as a centralized technical support and consulting function. Your primary role is to provide daily support to company facilities and departments, helping them effectively implement the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System expectations and associated programs, as well as assuring compliance to all company safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Facilitate implementation of the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System, including developing associated safety processes, and participating in self-assessments.
  • Conduct field inspections/reviews to assess compliance to company and international codes and standards, identify safety concerns, formulate solutions, and develop practical and cost-effective corrective actions.
  • Identify, evaluate, recommend actions, and follow up on critical safety tasks and control methodologies related to operational safety practices.
  • Participate in safety studies/activities using risk assessment and mitigation methodologies.
  • Respond to emergency situations and incidents to provide technical assistance and advice.
  • Participate in worksite contractor safety management activities.
  • Support the reporting, classification and investigation of all incidents, and participate in incident investigations.
  • Deliver Loss Prevention-specific training to employees, contractors, and outside parties.
  • Mentor other LP personnel.

You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an Accredited Institution and seven years of experience in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, or related industries, or 15 years of relevant industry experience without a degree. You will also have an excellent ability to communicate in English with peers as well as members of management, and be able to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
