We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Riyas Engineering & Maintenance Division (REMD) of the Riyas NGL Fractionation Department (RNGLFD). REMD is responsible for common facilities that include feed and product surge storage, chemicals storage, and utilities (steam and condensate recovery systems, utility water, plant, instrument air and nitrogen systems, machinery cooling water, drainage and flare systems). Some of these systems have been pre‑invested for the future train.

Your primary role will be to execute routine maintenance and perform hands‑on diagnoses, repairs and overhauls on various types of rotating equipment such as air instrument, steam turbines, gas compressors, gearboxes, single and multistage pumps, and valves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with organization and facilities SMEs and management to drive rotating equipment reliability initiatives and programs.
  • Architect, build and drive strategies to enhance rotating equipment reliability in order to increase availability and performance.
  • Support a proactive approach that identifies and addresses potential issues/ threats that could impact rotating equipment reliability.
  • Serve as a consultant to different organization entities concerning reliability matters.
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to corporate standards, processes and guidelines.
  • Work with the different organizations and entities to develop digital solutions and tools concerning rotating equipment and related analytics.
  • Perform online vibration analysis in Bently Nevada Systems (System1, Data Manager) or similar technologies/ monitoring systems.
  • Participate in/support projects and turnarounds and lead rotating equipment commissioning and startups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration will be desirable but is not essential.
  • Minimum of 10–15‑year experience in the rotating equipment discipline, with at least five (5) years of relevant hands‑on experience in oil and gas business.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international codes, standards and specifications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in engineering practices, international codes, standards and specifications, including API610, API611, API612, API614, API617, API618, API682, API692, API691.
  • Familiarity with basic investigation tools and techniques like FRACAS, RCA, and TAPROOT is an added value.
  • Understand and analyze vibration data for troubleshooting. Vibration certifications are a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
  • Experience in using predictive maintenance technologies/tools, practices and information for rotating equipment evaluation and assessment.
  • Experience in providing technical support and quality checks at workshop for machinery such as pumps, turbines, compressors, and motors.
  • Solid experience in technical writing and technical report development.
  • Strong IT skills, computer (hardware and software) and Product Data Management (PDM) technology skills.
