We are looking for an upstream strategist to join the Corporate Strategy Department. The Corporate Strategy department directly contributes to the Company's strategy development and update process through the application of best-practices in the fields of upstream, downstream, new energies and corporate strategy.
Your primary role will be responsible for the upstream oil and gas, LNG businesses, and you will act in the capacity of a Corporate Advisor on Upstream and LNG topics and provide insights to the Corporate Strategy Department, the Strategy and Market Analysis organisation, Corporate Management, and the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Advises corporate management on the development of the Company's strategic goals and plans for the Upstream and LNG businesses.
- Responsible for articulating and crafting the oil and gas business sections of the Company's Strategy, Business Plan, and Investment Plan.
- Contributes to the Company's Business Plan and Investment Plan preparation to ensure alignment with the Company's strategy focusing on the Company's oil and gas business.
- Independently initiates and prepares research on wide-ranging topics that look into long-term scenarios that might impact the Company's strategy and competitive advantage in Upstream and LNG.
- Collaborates with Business Lines and all the Strategy and Market Analysis departments to identify immediate and long-term global trends and energy industry evolution to assess the impact on the Company's strategy.
- Attends conferences and networks with subject matter experts to stay informed of the latest trends and developments in the global energy industry.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Management or closely related specialty.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Upstream and/or LNG with Oil and Gas companies, a global energy think-tank/consulting firm or financial institution, of which at least 5 years were in strategy or corporate planning roles.
