Overview

This pivotal role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including strategic communications, stakeholder relations, PR, media relations and global partnerships working for the C-suite office, and as strategic support to Aramco's leadership. We are looking for someone with excellent writing skills covering both internal and external communication including speechwriting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications: Support the development of integrated communications and public affairs strategy aligned with Saudi Aramco's corporate vision and objectives. Work with the team to provide insights and strategic counsel to the C-suite on communication matters, working closely with Government Relations, Public Affairs and Media Relations teams as well as other internal stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication between the CEO, his Executive team, other senior leaders, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear messaging and alignment. Navigate and respect cultural nuances and protocols, both within Saudi Arabia and on the international stage. Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support the decision-making process of the Leadership team, offering recommendations based on internal and external data.
  • Public Relations: Manage media relations, including proactively engaging with international and domestic media outlets. Respond effectively to media inquiries relating to the Executives and manage crisis communications when necessary.
  • Speechwriting and Talking Points: Assist in the preparation of talking points, speech reviews, and other communication material for the C-Suite, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and objectives. Help to craft compelling narratives to effectively communicate Saudi Aramco's vision and values. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure the accuracy and quality of briefing materials on companies, individuals, events, and situations.
  • Media Relations: Manage media relations, including proactively engaging with international and domestic media outlets. Respond effectively to media inquiries relating to the Executives and manage crisis communications when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, International Relations, International Business, International Law, Government, Communications, Economics or closely-related discipline; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Depth of experience in large, complex multinational environments, business drivers and commercial acumen commensurate with the requirements of the role.
  • Deep understanding of international business and cultural protocols; knowledge of the energy sector is advantageous.
  • Willingness to act as an individual contributor, as well as to integrate and collaborate with individuals and organisations in service of C-suite strategic agenda.
  • Willing and able to travel, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proven ability to quickly develop a positive, effective and collaborative rapport with corporate management, government officials, and other internal and external contacts, using tact and diplomacy.
  • Must demonstrate masterful interpersonal skills and possess an aptitude for dealing positively and effectively with stressful and/or delicate situations.
  • Must have a current, diverse, active, and global network as required to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this role.
