Overview
Aramco energizes the world economy and is one of the world's largest producers of hydrocarbon energy. The Gas Master Planning Specialist will be part of the Gas Operations Technical Support Division (GOTSD) within the Gas Operations Technical Support & Planning Department (GOTS&PD). This role will translate corporate strategies into longāterm development plans (10ā20 years) that guide capital investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing facilities and infrastructure performance.
- Forecast future demand and supply scenarios, considering market dynamics, population demographics, and regulatory changes.
- Evaluate the impact of emerging technologies and sustainability practices.
- Develop conceptual designs and scopes for new projects or upgrades.
- Work on facilities planning that leads to Business Master Plans and supports FacilitySlate plans.
- Ensure all relevant data and perspectives are integrated and aligned with priorities and resource allocation.
- Perform costābenefit analyses.
- Compare alternative solutions to determine the most efficient and sustainable path forward.
- Present dataādriven recommendations at critical milestones.
- Schedule regular updates (usually every 3ā5 years).
- Revise plans in response to experienced major changes in assumptions, such as new market conditions, regulatory shifts, or technological advances.
- Ensure plans remain relevant and actionable over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related), or an advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management.
- Minimum of 10āyears of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry or energy sector with a focus on upstream operations.
- Preferred certification in Project Management (PMP).
- Experience developing or reviewing Master Plans for gas industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with capital planning processes, feasibility studies, and economic modeling.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and longāterm planning mindset with strong analytical and problemāsolving skills.
- Project management capabilities, including scheduling, resource coordination, and milestone tracking.
- Proficiency in planning and modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Primavera, SAP, or other enterprise planning systems).
- Ability to synthesize complex technical and commercial data into clear, actionable plans.
- Capability to endorse and implement capital plans based on Master Plan recommendations.
