We are seeking an Emergency Management Advisor to Loss Prevention Organization (LP). LP is responsible for providing both day-to-day in-field occupational and process safety support to Saudi Aramco operations, as well as centralized technical support and consulting function. Our field offices are located in Abqaiq, Riyadh, Ras Tanura, Dhahran, Udhailiyah, Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan), and Tanajib. Through these offices, LP provides its services to all Saudi Aramco facilities and departments that are located throughout the Kingdom.
Your primary role is to provide expert emergency management guidance to company organizations, help them develop and implement effective emergency management programs, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and recognized standards, including FEMA guidelines, NFPA 1600, and NFPA 1620.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide strategic oversight of emergency management initiatives to ensure alignment with corporate emergency management objectives.
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments to improve emergency preparedness.
- Assist departments in identifying necessary resources to effectively respond to emergencies.
- Enhance the performance of Emergency Control Centers (ECCs) to ensure coordinated and effective incident response.
- Develop credible incident scenarios using an all-hazards approach based on assessed risks, supporting comprehensive emergency planning.
- Develop pre-incident plans to support effective emergency response.
- Develop site-specific emergency response plans tailored to diverse operational environments.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate emergency management training programs for employees at all levels to build organizational readiness.
- Plan, execute, and assess emergency exercises, integrating lessons learned into program improvements.
- Develop emergency response strategies, facilitating the corporate emergency management taskforce, and enhancing the organization's overall business resilience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to ensure preparedness, response, and recovery frameworks align with operational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a key facilitator for the corporate emergency management taskforce, ensuring cross-functional coordination and alignment with industry best practices.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of emergency management programs.
You will hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or safety from an Accredited Institution. You will have 7 years of experience as an emergency management advisor in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, or related industries, including a strong track record in delivering results. The experience should be comprehensive, covering the four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. You will have strong knowledge of FEMA guidelines, NFPA 1600, and NFPA 1620, and being certified as an emergency manager by the International Association of Emergency Managers is a plus. You will have an excellent ability to communicate in English with peers as well as members of management, and be able to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
