We are seeking a Crisis and Business Continuity Advisor to join our Corporate Emergency Management and Continuity (CEMAC) Organization. CEMAC is responsible for implementing, maintaining and enhancing business continuity, crisis management and resilience programs in Saudi Aramco and its group of companies. Its objective is to ensure sustainable resiliency that protects SA interests, minimizes business disruption, and reduces reputational risks. It also ensures that incidents involving Saudi Aramco interests having the potential to cause significant loss of life, property, reputation, or business interruptions are managed adequately.

Your primary role is to contribute to the corporate frameworks of governing, developing, executing, maintaining, reviewing, enhancing, exercising, assessing, corporate emergency management and continuity plans addressing industrial (i.e hydrocarbon) and nonindustrial (i.e. non-hydrocarbon) incidents to assure Saudi Aramco's ability to operate optimally during a crisis.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Provide expert advice to help implement, maintain & enhance business continuity, crisis management and resilience in Company's operations and ensuring plans and strategies are appropriately managed.
  • Develop, maintain, and continually improve business continuity and crisis management policies, strategies, plans, procedures, and manuals.
  • Initiate, review and assess proposals related to corporate initiatives for business continuity and crisis management requirements.
  • Implement and maintain business continuity and crisis management frameworks, systems, and processes at company and corporate/group level.
  • Plan and conduct frequent site visits to review and assess organizations and Affiliates crisis & business continuity compliance and maturity.
  • Advance implementation of designated analytical and digital tools to support decision analysis and information gathering as related to business continuity, and crisis management.
  • Assess effectiveness of assigned risk management programs and risk management frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain corporate communication plans for crisis management.
  • Establish and test crisis communication protocols with stakeholders, including joint ventures and government agencies.
  • Assume assigned responsibilities to facilitate and support Emergency Monitoring Room (EMR) during an elevated incident.
  • Conduct training needs assessments for crisis management, including executive training and field training.

You will hold a Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of engineering. An advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience (preferably within the Oil and Gas industry), including 5 years minimum in a leading role in Business Continuity or Crisis Management. Professional qualification in Crisis Management or Business Continuity Management such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of business continuity and crisis management best practices, including ISO 22301. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with advanced digital skills to conduct data analysis. Experience with emergency management, safety and health, project management, IT, risk management, and continuity of operations procedures, and governance practices. Ability to work with senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams while maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to work with minimum supervision on relatively unstructured tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle crisis situations.
