We’re seeking an experienced Joint Venture Management professional to join the Upstream Affiliates Coordination team which is part of the Upstream JV Management Department. Upstream JV Management Department is responsible for attaining best in-class corporate governance practices, financial analysis, technical & performance management, and business support of Upstream Affiliates. We are dedicated to provide our timeless support in line with Aramco values, while adhering to policies & procedures and applicable governmental laws to serve Shareholders’ best interests. Our vision is to oversee, support and expand our joint ventures growth, while accurately provisioning and managing JVs/subsidiaries governance portfolio, performance management analysis, and human resource best practices with precision to provide valuable board advisory.
Your primary role will be to perform the broad spectrum of joint venture management tasks for upstream services. This includes overseeing and coordinating drilling joint venture activities related to rig operations, and ensure the required business support in various areas including board and governance matters are provided to the joint ventures.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be required to perform and demonstrate the following:
- Oversee and coordinate board and governance matters including preparation of agenda, review and analysis of board materials, briefings, recommendation and actions for resolutions.
- Act as primary contact point between the JV companies and all Saudi Aramco organizations and ensure effective communication protocol between stakeholders.
- Monitor and provide guidance on JV business including corporate governance, commercial terms and various contractual and JV agreements in collaboration with other teams (Finance, HR, Technical Performance and HSE).
- Organize and coordinate workshops related to JV operations including technical performance, HSE, commercial and legal matters between stakeholders.
- Monitor and provide support services on JV capital projects and coordinate required approvals in accordance with the shareholders’ policies and guidelines.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or other disciplines of engineering) from a recognized and approved program.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas value chain preferably within an International Oil Company (IOC) or National Oil Company (NOC).
- At least 5+ years of this experience will be in the joint venture management.
- Strong background in corporate governance, commercial issues and various contractual agreements in Upstream Joint Ventures.
- Strong technical background in either Petroleum Engineering or Drilling Engineering.
- Familiar with financial analysis.
- Strong administration skills, able to effectively coordinate activities across a number of different parties.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with senior representatives of Saudi Aramco and outside partners.
- Good relationship development skills and ability to flex approach in recognition of cultural differences.
