Aramco Trading Limited (ATL) was incorporated in London in 2019. ATL carries out energy trading activities, particularly the trading, by way of procurement and sale of refined products, crude oil, specialty petroleum products and chemicals. In addition to physical trading, ATL also engages in a wide variety of activities including shipping, chartering, storage and trading of financial derivatives. The company has a widely diverse employee base with expertise in all aspects of the oil trading market. The rapidly expanding London team complements our global network and provides constant coverage across all time zones. ATL is an active participant in hydrocarbon trading in Europe, Africa and the Americas, with a wide variety of crude grades and different petroleum products. The Company has also been expanding its activities to include GAS business where trading Liquefied Petroleum Products (LPG) and Lignified Natural Gas (LNG) form part of the growing portfolio.
ATL are currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant with financial accounting experience to support the Finance Department of Aramco Trading, London. This role will be within the Financial Accounting team.
Duties include:
- Validation and reconciliation of indirect tax accounts prior to filing returns
- Production of indirect tax returns
- Preparation of and accounting for Corporate Tax in the UK
- Management and reconciliation of Indirect and direct tax balance sheet accounts
- Support with internal and external audit queries
- Liaising with Tax Authorities, Tax advisors, Group tax, internal and external auditors
- Support and assistance with Financial Accounting
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree
- Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Oil and gas trading background
- Experience of accounting for direct and indirect tax
- Experience of employment taxes would be beneficial
- Good working knowledge of UK and EU direct and indirect tax regulations
- Experience in preparing and validating indirect and direct tax returns
- Proficiency with analytical tools, BI systems and Excel
- Possess a strong analytical, problem-solving mindset
- Attention to detail, well organized and ability to prioritise and work under pressure
