Aramco Trading Limited (ATL) was incorporated in London in 2019. ATL carries out energy trading activities, particularly the procurement and sale of refined products, crude oil, specialty petroleum products, and chemicals. In addition to physical trading, ATL engages in a wide variety of activities including shipping, chartering, storage, and trading of financial derivatives. The company has a diverse employee base with expertise in all aspects of the oil trading market.
ATL is currently recruiting for a Trading Accountant with financial accounting experience to support the Finance Department of Aramco Trading, London.
- Validation and reconciliation of trading and balance sheet accounts prior to reporting, focusing on fair valuation, accruals, MTM, inventory segmentation
- Analyse discrepancies and variances in gross margin accounting data
- Reconciliation of results adhering to governance standards
- Commentary and variance analysis on Trading accounting results
- Assist with interim and annual audits, liaising with auditors
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor degree
- Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Commodity trading background, preferably in oil and gas
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Experience in analysing trading results by profit centre and production of management accounts by book
