Salary: £30,289.33

Hours: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 providing cover for occasional functions

Shift patterns: Variable shifts (Earlies, Middles, Lates) between 05:30 and 20:30

Working closely with the Catering Manager, ensuring menus are followed correctly and high standards of food are being served, ensuring every dish is exceptional. What you'll do:

  • Lead kitchen operations when the Head Chef is away.
  • Prepare dishes to spec, following recipe sheets and allergen guidelines.
  • Manage food production, reduce waste, and maintain stock control.
  • Receive and store deliveries using FIFO procedures.
  • Allocate tasks and mentor the kitchen team.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and oversee deep cleans.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and compliant.

What we're looking for:

  • UK residency for the past 3 years and legal right to work.
  • Ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
  • Strong Leadership, kitchen management, and culinary skills.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment with high volume customers
  • NVQ Level 2 & 3
  • Level 3 Food Safety and Health Safety
  • Skills / knowledge / experience of stock ordering and stock taking systems, menu production and recipe compliance
  • Calm under pressure, organised, and ready for a trade test.
