Make a real impact every day as our Retail & Mess Manager at RAF Northolt. You’ll lead retail outlets, bar and coffee services, and two busy Messes—delivering excellent hospitality, great customer experiences, and top‑tier operational standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead retail operations, drive sales, manage stock and control costs.
- Oversee Mess hospitality, bar operations, dining services, and event support.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team across retail, bar, and catering.
- Deliver great customer service for members, military personnel, and VIPs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, Defence policy, and audit standards.
- Coordinate facilities upkeep, stock ordering, suppliers, and contractor visits.
- Plan and deliver events such as Mess balls, regimental dinners, and VIP receptions.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with stock control, cash handling, and financial processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Food safety or H&S qualifications.
- Ability to pass security vetting (3+ years UK residency).
- Military catering/Defence experience (desirable).
- Experience running high‑profile events (desirable).
