Aramark Northern Europe is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Accommodation Sous Chef to join the team at Warwick Castle. With the hotel open all year round, we are looking for a strong addition to bolster our team. There are truly no days the same!

The accommodation Junior Sous Chef is a key stakeholder in organising and delivering dinner and breakfast service, working with the relevant departments. Aramark provides world-class contract catering services, and we are very lucky to have some of the best Culinary and Catering talent that the UK has to offer working within our teams.

This role is full time over a 7 working day week, with a mix of 6 am - 2 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm, and occasionally 7 am - 3 pm shifts. There are no split shifts.

A day in the life of a Sous Chef at Warwick Castle:

  • Take a leading role in food preparation and ordering for the hotel
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications, with scope of enhancing products where suitable
  • Coach junior chefs with food preparation best practices
  • Adhere to all health and food safety standards
  • Produce food preparation lists, and be able to order accordingly working to a Cost of Sale
  • Be able to organise workload split between kitchen and admin tasks
  • Adhere to daily kitchen due diligence paperwork
  • Assist with future projects planning
  • Deputise for Head Chef and other Sous Chefs when required

Required Skill Set:

  • Food Hygiene Level 2, but preferably Level 3
  • Well-presented, articulate and enthusiastic
  • Experienced in Conferencing and Banqueting, or a range of cuisines/service styles
  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence
  • IT fluent with good knowledge of MS Office, and able to work with several BOH software systems
