Are you currently working in a kitchen but looking for a little more fun in your role? How about leading a team in a one-of-a-kind theme park restaurant? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Team Leader to join our park operations at Alton Towers Resort based in the iconic Rollercoaster Restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll supervise kitchen operations, motivate your team, and ensure exceptional food quality in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
The ingredients for success:
- Leading your team to prepare and serve a wide variety of food by following recipes and guidelines to create fabulous dishes
- Inspiring and mentoring your team to reach their full potential
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised, adhering to health & safety standards
- Preparing the kitchen area prior to service, ensuring readiness for busy periods
- Ordering and monitoring stock levels, and managing deliveries
- Leading team members to smooth kitchen operations during peak periods
- Handling allergy queries and ensuring compliance
Here are some desirable qualities for this role:
- We would love to hear from candidates with kitchen experience who have a passion for food
- Supervisory experience is preferable
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring fantastic food presentation
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
