Overview

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Retail Assistant/Barista to join our team working at Northwood HQ.

You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating tills, checking stock, restocking goods, arranging merchandise displays, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a clean and tidy workspace.

You must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years, have a legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting.

  • This is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week. Shifts range between 0630 and 2100, leaving your weekends free – a rarity when you work within culinary/hospitality.

A day in the life of a Retail Assistant/Barista

  • Serving customers, taking payments, and keeping accurate records.
  • Receiving and putting out deliveries, restocking goods and ensuring attractive displays of merchandise.
  • Stock taking, ordering, and notifying line manager of any deficient goods.
  • Cleaning front and back of house areas, keeping shop and stock rooms tidy.
  • Reporting to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified in the workplace.
  • Following food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Learning to open and close the retail unit.
  • Barista coffee making to our brand of 53.3 drinks.
  • Serving of hot paninis and cold foods.

You will be set up for success if you have

  • Resided in the UK for the past 3 years and have a legal right to work in the UK.
  • The ability to pass full security vetting CTC required.
  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided.
  • Customer service experience desirable.
  • Must be comfortable working alongside a team and occasional lone working
