Job Description
Aramark is seeking an experienced offshore Maintenance Technician – Refrigeration to carry out maintenance tasks on equipment in support of Facilities Management operations both on and offshore.
- Job Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and service tasks on equipment within the kitchen / galley and accommodation, including planned preventive routines, investigation of faults, breakdown and general repairs.
- Be familiar with all types of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment, such as fridges, freezers, blast chillers, water coolers, etc.
- Competently carry out charging, re‑charging and recovery of refrigerant gases.
- Maintain equipment reports and ensure inventory information and manuals are kept up to date.
- Identify and produce spare part requirements for equipment, assist in the procurement of same.
- Prepare and produce site visit reports.
- Ensure FGAS reports and registers are submitted and updated in line with Client/ARCADION procedures.
- Maintain a refrigerant inventory for all units.
- Liaise with unit managers at site.
- Assist with projects and refurbishments as requested or directed by line supervision.
- Ensure all tools and equipment used in the execution of these tasks are in good order and comply with applicable regulations.
- Liaise with client, both management and technical staff with regard to tasks and execution thereof at individual client units.
- Carry out installation of new or replacement equipment.
- Carry out other or additional tasks within his/her competency or capability as required by management.
- Key Requirements
- Have successfully completed offshore emergency training, hold a valid offshore medical certificate, completed an electrical trade apprenticeship, and hold the following certifications.
- City and Guilds Safe Handling of Refrigerants – 2079.
- Brazing Certificate (preferred but not essential).
- Have completed a trade apprenticeship and hold one of the following certifications.
- City & Guilds 207 Refrigeration / Air Conditioning.
- ONC / HNC in a relevant discipline.
- CITB J04/J05 (or equivalent).
- Government Training scheme, HM Forces, or Enterprise Board equivalent.
