About the Role
Aramark is seeking an experienced offshore qualified Electrical Technician to carry out maintenance tasks (Electrical) on catering & laundry and general accommodation electrical equipment in support of facilities management operations both on and offshore.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and service tasks on equipment within the galley, laundry and accommodation including planned preventative routines, investigation of faults, breakdown and general repairs.
- Be familiar with all types of commercial catering equipment, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, mixers, waste disposal units etc.
- Maintain equipment reports and ensure inventory information and manuals are kept up to date.
- Identify and produce spare part requirements of equipment, assist in the procurement of same.
- Prepare and produce site visit reports.
- Carry out Portable Appliance Testing, Distribution Board Testing, Maintenance of Lighting Systems, Earth Continuity and Insulation checks.
- To liaise with unit managers at site.
- Assist with projects and refurbishments as requested or directed by the line supervision.
- Ensure all tools and equipment used in the execution of these tasks are in good order and comply with applicable regulations.
- To liaise with client, both management and technical staff with regard tasks and execution thereof at the individual client units.
Requirements
- To have successfully completed offshore emergency training, hold a valid offshore medical certificate, completed an electrical trade apprenticeship, and hold the following certification: City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 electrical trade certificate, or similar. ONC / HNC in relevant electrical discipline, or Government Training scheme, HM Forces, or Enterprise Board equivalent.
- To have a working knowledge or better of the following: The latest revisions of IEE Regulations, JIB Contracting Industry Craftsman Certificate, JIB Contracting Industry Achievement Measurement, Hazardous Area and Equipment Classifications β Exd Systems, EEXd systems, Intrinsically Safe systems (I.S. systems) etc.
