Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef Manager to join our team working at Shoreham Airport, 10 Cecil Pashley Way, Shoreham-By-Sea, BN43 5FF. Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to our extensive list of clients across the UK, including Defence and Judicial, private industry and Education.

What we offer:

  • This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Shifts range between 7.30am – 3.00pm, leaving your evenings and weekends free.
  • Salary of £18,245.40, Term time only – 36 weeks.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager:

  • Complete all kitchen & catering operations including menu planning, food preparation.
  • Serve customers on counter including coffee and till.
  • Complete all required cleaning and complete required paperwork.
  • Organising and coordinating hospitality – alongside leading the team to ensure tasks are appropriately allocated and food preparation activities are delivered using standard recipes and in line with Aramark brand standards.
  • Accountable for stock flow and rotation of products.
  • Placing orders and stock rotation, carrying out regular stock takes and completing the relevant back‐office paperwork.
  • Handle customer complaints as required.
  • Direct and coach team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks, ensuring all training and development needs are met.

You will be set up for success if you have:

  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Proven experience in catering management or as a head chef.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Financial acumen for managing budgets and cost control.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management.
  • IT skills for reporting and administration.
  • Relevant catering or hospitality qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
