Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join the team working at Wyke Sixth Form College, Hull, HU5 4NT. Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to our extensive list of clients across the UK, including Defence and Judicial, private industry and Education.
What we offer:
- This is a permanent term-time position, 35 hours per week Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 1:30pm, 32 weeks - term time only
- The hourly rate is £12.21 (equated pay – term time only)

A day in the life of a Catering Assistant:
- Basic food preparation if required include sandwiches, grab and go items, basic hot food if required.
- Serving students, ensuring you are always providing excellent customer service.
- Stocking up and putting away deliveries.
- Serving food and clearing tables/bins/trays.
- General cleaning back and front of house, making sure the unit is clean and tidy before, during and after service.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Previous catering experience is essential in this role.
- An enhanced DBS check.
- Work well as part of a team.
- A keen interest in developing food preparation skills and culinary knowledge.
