Join our culinary team as a Food Service Assistant at Campsfield IRC in Kidlington OX5 1RE.

Pay: £13.28/hour

Hours: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week, based on a weekly rota of 3 days on/3 days off, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Cook and prepare food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
  • Safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.
  • Provide high levels of service of food and/or beverages to customers, adhering to the standards set by the company.
  • Perform cleaning and replenishment duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
  • Ensure service area and/or service points are clean and stocked up.
  • Food assembly and service in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking.
  • Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
  • Work with minimal direction and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a catering environment is ideal; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within the first six months of employment.
  • Must be 18+.
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Lived in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work in the UK; must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
