We are recruiting a Steward to join our team working at Officers Mess, Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth, Hants, PO10 8DH.
You will be responsible for contributing to the provision of a quality food and bar service within the Officers Mess.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

- This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with the main shift being 0600 to 1400 or 1330 to 2100 and one weekend in three (add shift pattern).
- Hourly rate of £12.21.

A day in the life of a Steward
- Serving meals, beverages, and bar snack items to customers.
- Cash handling and till operation.
- General housekeeping, including bar cleaning, glass washing and ensuring the communal areas are kept tidy and neat.
- Stocking up and stock rotation using the FIFO method.
- Report to line manager for any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during your shift.
- Duties may be changed to meet the changing needs and requirements of the company.
You will be set up for success if you have
- Been resident in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Can pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
- Similar work experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
