The Front of House Manager is responsible for planning, organising, and developing the retail operation of the Catering department to a high standard and to deliver a high standard of food services to the client, continually aiming to exceed expectations.
The individual will manage a team of five baristas by providing coaching and continuous evaluation of the performance of each individual and the team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active individual and a natural leader that has a can-do attitude. The Front of House Manager will oversee the due diligence of the operation and will liaise with the other heads of departments and the GM to improve standards, oversee the operation, and ensure that all documentation is in place for reviewing.
The new candidate will need to portray passion for the food & beverage industry and knowledge of the specialty coffee industry. The FOH Manager will also support the hospitality operation to ensure that the Customer Experience is elevated.

Key responsibilities:
- To implement and improve food services standards (due diligence and customer service)
- Create and implement strong SOPs which all team members will need to follow
- Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, health and safety are practised at all times
- Manage retail department, implementing new concepts and products in line with the company marketing strategy
- Recruitment, training and coaching of team members ensuring that they have the right mix of skills
- Organising and implementing effective work schedules for front of house team members
- Overviewing management of suppliers, ordering, invoicing and stock taking
- Supporting the site with a correct financial close of each period in a timely manner
- Ensure all staff receive appropriate briefings and training
- Monitor and report on the performance of the department (Financial and KPI)
- Assist in production of departmental budget
- Drive improvement of the services and achieving greater value
- To liaise with HODs to aid forward planning and to meet client needs
- Deal with complaints
- Assist on project teams as required
Key requirements:
- Experience operating as a Front of House Manager or Supervisor ready to take a step up
- Volume retail or catering experience is essential
- Able to deliver a first-class customer experience
- Must have a can-do attitude and be a great team player
