Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Chef Manager to join our team based in Edinburgh (EH8 9UE). This is a rewarding management role overseeing catering and domestic services within a residential Lifehouse supporting 38 residents. Working in partnership with a Christian charity dedicated to meeting human needs without discrimination, you will lead a small team of cooks and cleaners, managing day-to-day food production, cleaning standards, stock control and team rotas. The service supports individuals affected by homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges and modern slavery, making this a role with genuine community impact. Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing a small team of chefs and cleaners - ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen and domestic areas
  • Managing and assisting with weekly deep cleans of the kitchen and domestic areas
  • Filling out paperwork, ensuring Health and Safety paperwork and due diligence paperwork is filled out correctly and efficiently
  • Management of catering breakfast and dinner service with your team
  • Management of vacant rooms and cleaning of the overall building
  • Ensure Team Members receive appropriate training to company policies; legal and health and safety requirements
  • Offering excellent customer service to our clients
  • Plan and lead team management meetings and daily briefings

  • Placing orders and stock taking, ensuring the FIFO method is followed

Key Requirements:

  • Previous customer facing / food service experience is desirable, however full training will be given on site
  • For this role you must be 18+
  • Must have eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years
  • Security checks are required for this role
  • Must have reliable transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport
