Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef in their Education & Healthcare sector to join our team at Salvation Army, Edinburgh. You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer service to our customers and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

A day in the life of a Chef:

  • Preparing both hot and cold food, alongside deli grab & go items (sandwiches, wraps, salads and fruit pots).
  • Serving on the hot counter at breakfast and lunchtime, keeping track of any dishes running low and carrying out Food Safety at all times.
  • Placing orders and performing stock takes, alongside assisting with storing deliveries and deep cleans of the unit on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Operating tills and taking payments, whilst providing excellent customer service to our customers and upselling sizes and products.
  • Organising and coordinating hospitality.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Experience operating as a Chef or as a Cook.
  • Food safety and food hygiene knowledge.
