Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team working at New College Durham, DH1 5ES. We are looking for a keen coffee enthusiast to make specialty hot drinks, alongside providing excellent customer service on the tills. You will be working with a fantastic team and supporting the day-to-day running of the unit.

A day in the life of a Coffee Shop Assistant:
- Making hot and cold drinks to spec – a fantastic way to show off your latte art skills or learn new ones.
- Operating the till, processing cash and card transactions, upselling products and sizes and providing excellent customer service to our customers.
- General cleaning of the unit, including sweeping/mopping the dining areas, rubbish disposal, general clean down of the unit and ensuring all designated cleaning tasks are complete.
- Serving prepackaged / made to order food and cakes – ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are followed.
- Stocking up and rotating stock daily, ensuring the unit stock is faced up throughout the day and dated correctly.
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
- Previous Barista experience is desirable, however not essential as full training will be given on site
- Strong customer service skills
