Overview
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook to join our team working at RRH Staxton Wold – Staxton, Scarborough YO12 4TJ. You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
What we offer
- This is a full-time position, 38.5 hours per week (shift pattern, 7 days over 14 including weekends). Shifts are 06:30 to 18:30, leaving your evenings free
- The hourly rate is £13.12.

Requirements
- To be eligible for this role, you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK.
- Ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
- Security checks and DBS required for this role.
Day in the life / Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare food for breakfast, lunch and dinner services with minimal wastage.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and train/coach new team members on procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
- Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals.
- Assist with deliveries, stock checks, place food orders, and maintain kitchen records.
- Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries; complete daily paperwork for due diligence.
- Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
You will be set up for success if you have
- Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent).
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- A confident Cook.
- Security checks and DBS required for this role.
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
