Aramark UK are currently recruiting an experienced Chef Manager to join our team working at City of Bristol College – Ashley Down Campus.

Are you an experienced culinary professional ready to take the lead in a dynamic and rewarding environment? We’re looking for a talented Chef Manager to oversee our catering operations at City of Bristol College, Ashley Down Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape menus, lead a team, and make a real impact in a term-time only role.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager

  • Assume full responsibility to produce food and to constantly introduce new and innovative menu options in line with Aramark standards
  • Ensure that all daily menus are balanced and meet our customer requirements
  • Work with the Group Operations Manager to ensure, client and customer requirements are exceeded
  • Be flexible in your approach and the ability to flex service requirements in line with client requests
  • Hold full financial accountability for the catering operation (driving sales, GP, labour, and overheads)
  • Achieve budgeted gross margin through consistent costing and menu planning
  • Ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety and HACCP are maintained in the catering facility
  • Manage and develop the catering team
  • Using Aramarks suite of marketing material maintain consistent and impactful menu displays and product promotions

You will be set up for success if you have

  • Previous experience in a similar food service environment
  • An innovative approach to menu design with strong attention to detail
  • Third level qualification (HACCP/Culinary Arts/Professional Cookery)
  • Previous experience in Managing a Catering Team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to innovate
  • Commercial acumen, strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
