Location: Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PS
Pay: £12.71 per hour (£23,211.38 per annum)
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (includes some weekends)
Shift times: 0530 - 1300 or 1100 - 1830
What you'll do:
- Assist chefs with food prep and cooking (sandwiches, grab-and-go items, basic hot meals) to a high standard.
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all meals.
- Adapt dishes to meet dietary requirements and allergens.
What we're looking for:
- UK residency for the past 3 years & ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (e.g. HACCP).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
