Hours: 40 hours/week. Rota: 5 days from 7, Mon β Fri with some weekend work)
Shifts: Hours: 7:00 AM β 7:00 PM (may involve working alongside detainee labour in the kitchen)
We\βre hiring a Catering Manager to join our committed team at Campsfield IRC.
You\βll be accountable for the management of all food preparation and site operations.
- Lead a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to prepare and deliver meals, 3 times a day. You will be managing the kitchen unit.
- Own and be fully accountable for the operational management and financial performance of the unit
- Be responsible for the preparation of basic quality foods within a set pre-ordered menu.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy and all stock checks are carried out correctly.
- Work and develop good commercial relationships with suppliers, ensuring receipt of service and quality levels required to obtain the highest financial return.
- Ensure all daily paper / computer work is complete and that inventories and statistical reports are completed correctly and at the right time.
- Previous management experience in the food services or retail industry.
- NVQ Level 3 β Culinary or equivalent.
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation
- Excellent numeracy skills; strong written and verbal skills
- Experience working in a large-scale kitchen
- Lived in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work and must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
